Carol’s Stockmarket was founded by Carol Banahan because she wanted to make life easier for busy people everywhere who believe in the value and importance of quality food to our overall health and well being. Carol spent 24 years working in a stressful career in the financial industry. She decided to retire from that career in 2014 and move back home to Ireland to follow her passions for food and nutrition. She completed a cookery course at the Dublin
Cookery School in late 2014 and also qualified as a Health & Nutrition Coach with the Irish Institute of Health & Nutrition in 2015. Carol lives in Greencastle on the beautiful Inishowen peninsula in Donegal. Carol’s Stockmarket produces traditional natural & nutritious homemade beef and chicken stocks. Stocks are made from locally sourced ingredients that are of the highest quality in order to provide a product that is not only flavourful but packed full of vitamins and minerals. All of the stocks have no preservatives and have no added salt, are free of gluten, dairy, soy, with absolutely no added flavourings or colourings. Carol makes her stocks with filtered water in stainless steel pots. The beef that is used in the beef stock is sourced from 100% grass-fed beef from Donegal. No hormones or antibiotics are used in the raising of these animals. Chickens that are used for the chicken stock come from a local chicken farm based in Clonmany on Inishowen. The chickens are high quality and are also not injected with hormones, antibiotics or water. All vegetables and aromatics are sourced from local farms where possible.
